IJDR provides a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and diversity development experts to publish original intellectual works. The journal encourages empirical research, theoretical arguments, conceptual papers, reviews, short communications, commentaries, policy reflections, and book reviews that engage with diversity, inclusion, equity, social cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and human dignity. IJDR promotes interdisciplinary conversations on how diversity is understood, experienced, contested, protected, and advanced across social, cultural, educational, political, institutional, and community contexts.

The journal's focus is limited to diversity-related issues, interpretations of diversity, social inclusion, and the emancipation of marginalised and socially disadvantaged groups.
